I joined engineering to make things, but working at Amphenol for three years has killed my love of engineering.
I finished using the USA Rail Pass on September 16th, the trip was 28 days total with roughly 7 being on the train. I got bit 172 times by bed bugs in Denver ):
Alright I’ll keep this one brief because Denver feels like a less unique Portland. I have no clue if that is a good or bad thing.
My five days in San Fran are done, en route to Denver. This 34 hour train ride has given me plenty of time to write. Let’s dive in.
This morning, I found myself reclusive at the hostel and chose to just do my own thing rather than join a table of people. Here is a brief summary of why I avoid these giant groups.
Keep in mind I am writing my Portland impressions after praising Chicago and DC. My bar for these cities has been pretty much on the floor.
I spent 3 days in DC at the Duo Housing Hostel. I had high expectations for DC, and the place still met almost all of them.
Chicago has to be the most overhated city in the United States. It is like a cute NYC.
I have a ticket (or 10) out of here. Im talking about the USA Rail Pass baby. This pass is $500 and gives ten segments to use within 30 days.
